Proximity identification is the process of working out which provider or person is nearest and treating that as the identity. It is the identification half of proximity payment, and it can run on its own.
The longer version
Proximity identification starts with a broadcast. A provider sends a short range signal, nearby phones detect it, and each phone reports what it sees to a central server. The server resolves the readings into a single nearest pairing.
The output is a confident answer to a simple question: who is closest to whom. That answer can drive a payment, but it can also drive access, check in, or a safety confirmation. Nothing about the identification requires a transaction to follow.
Parousya's parent patent US10657515B2 covers proximity identification paired with server routed payment. The divisional US11392923B2 goes further and protects identification without payment, which is what lets the same mechanism serve uses that never touch money.
The Parousya method
Proximity identification is the core of the Parousya method. Presence is resolved to one nearest pairing on a central server, and only then, and only if the user acts, does a payment follow.
