Real time location system (RTLS)

In one sentence

A real time location system tracks where people or things are inside a defined space as they move. It uses signals like ultra wideband or Bluetooth to place items on a live map.

The longer version

A real time location system, or RTLS, keeps a running picture of where tagged people or assets are within a building or yard. Anchors around the space listen for tags and compute their position continuously, often with ultra wideband for fine accuracy or Bluetooth for lower cost.

RTLS is about continuous tracking of many things at once. It answers where everything is, moment to moment, which suits logistics, safety, and asset management. It usually assumes an instrumented environment with fixed anchors.

Proximity identification borrows the same idea of position from signals, but narrows it to a single question at a single moment: which provider is this one person nearest to, right now. It does not need a full location map to resolve that pairing.

The Parousya method

A real time location system and the Parousya method share a foundation in signal based position, including ultra wideband. The method uses that position for a narrower purpose: resolving the nearest pairing when a transaction is about to happen.
